The Trapezium Gallery's 2012 exhibition program is off to a flying start with the Student Acquisitive Art Prize, currently on show and running until 4pm Friday the 2nd of March.

This annual exhibition showcases outstanding work from the previous year's graduates, and features work from the painting, photography, drawing, ceramic and printmaking studios. The selected artists have been chosen for their skill and imagination in their chosen media, as well as their professional approach to their art practice.

The College will purchase work from this exhibition for the permanent collection, and acquired work will be on display around the College on an ongoing basis.

The celebration event for the exhibition will be held on the 29th of February at 12 noon in the Trapezium Gallery: light refreshments will be served and all are welcome. At this event it will be announced which work has been chosen for purchase. We hope to see you there to help celebrate the achievements of the artists.

Congratulations to Barbara Kenny, Alexandra Curtis, Jon Pritchard, Michael Sharpe, Natalie Horvat, Emma Smith, Alexander Zou, Ruma Hort, Bruni Guenther-Tsapilis, Shannon Ring, Simon Cook, Shinhye Choi and Charles Hadfield for their inclusion in this exhibition.
